It was 50 years ago today that the Beatles’ Let It Be film was released in the U.S. The new film documentary film The Beatles: Get Back (directed by Peter Jackson) will be released on the 4th September 2020. And according to NME, it will feature the full footage from the band’s historic, and final, live performance on the rooftop of 3 Savile Row. The film will also feature never-before-seen footage from the recording sessions, and is said to give a much more joyous and loving presentation of the band working together than the original film.
