If you’re planning to come and see the BBs at Syon Park and want to make more of a day of it, we thought we’d give you the details of a few famous, nearby Beatle locations – should you want to check them out pre-show.

Chiswick House – Paperback Writer and Rain promo clips. Not much has changed since the Beatles visited it on 20 May 1966. Last time we looked the tree from the Nowhere Man EP cover was still there, close to the statues as seen in the Paperback Writer film.

5,7,9 & 11, Aisla Avenue, St Margaret’s Twickenham – The Beatles’ four-in-one house from Help! And still the same as it was before it was. Just up the road from the Twickenham Film Studios where the Beatles also filmed A Hard Day’s Night and Let It Be.

Post Office Alley and the City Barge pub (Strand-On-The Green, W4) down by the Thames at Kew. The Beatles are attacked by ‘paint him red’ Kahili followers (also from Help!). The ideal pub to ask for ‘Two lagers and lime and two lagers and lime.’ And watch out for Raj the famous Bengal tiger in the basement. Spoiler: in reality the pub doesn’t actually have a cellar!

And last, but sadly lost, are the Thornbury Playing Fields – the site where the Beatles merrily frolicked to the strains of Can’t Buy Me Love in A Hard Day’s Night. Now every blade of grass that the Fabs once cavorted on is completely covered over by the Stanborough Housing Estate – shame as it was only a ten-minute drive from the venue. The chance to say, ‘Sorry if we hurt your field, mister,’ has passed, as must all things.
